We keep our pricing models simple and easy to understand. You have 2 clear options. Be very wary about companies offering rental packages. These companies build up customer bases of people who generally can’t get finance. The inevitable always seems to happen in that the companies stop paying the rental and the tracking company is left with hardware that has not been paid for. Many tracking companies who have adopted this model have then liquidated.
Reliability of hardware is essential. We partner with Falcom, a 40 million plus turn over manufacturing business in Germany, who specialise in developing Telematics hardware. It is tried and tested technology. It is not a computer hard drive. Falcom themselves have tried this route in the past but it is impossible to get to business critical reliability.
No external antenna. Again this adds to the reliability of the hardware. There is a lot less to go wrong. Nobody can snap the antenna off or remove it or accidently knock it, thieves will not be able to detect our devices.
Ease of installation. This again is simple. It is a 3 wire install that 95% of our customers happily do themselves. It is no more complicated than wiring a plug. Be wary of some 9 wire or complicated installs, obviously there is more chance of something going wrong. With Sprint’s simple 3 wire installation you will not incur any future de/re installation costs when you need your unit transferring to another vehicle.
Software. Our software is over protected at Canary Wharfs secure server centre. We have capacity for 500,000 devices on our current set up. Some companies have the server in their own offices. Please look out for this.
Company credit rating. With many tracking companies being new start businesses and going out of business regularly it is essential to check out companies properly at Companies House.
